1. Inspection of the surface of the wood for stains, mildew, UV sunlight damage and other conditions;
2.Tightening of all loose nails and screws;
3. Pre-treating the deck with the appropriate wood cleaners;
4. Gently power washing the deck with light pressure and rinsing thoroughly (Professional Contractors avoid the use of bleach);
5. Neutralizing the wood to properly balance the pH of the wood fibre; After the wood has dried to less that 15% moisture content, sealing with a professional grade (preferably, oil based) sealer
We use TWP products to protect, preserve and beautify outdoor wood. These wood sealers are designed to protect against the elements-rain, snow, sunlight, UV and to prevent unsightly wood graying, darkening and fading.
These products are fortified with mildewcides to kill mold and mildew and prevent stains. TWP protection also greatly reduces common deck problems such as warping, cracking, splitting and splintering. Also, TWP is formulated to prevent wood rot.
